Q: Why did you start Hope & Grace?

A: The starting of Hope & Grace was a journey. I always had a love for boutique shopping. I had been a dental hygienist for 20 years, working at the same dental office. My boss came to me one day and told me he was retiring and selling the dental practice. His goal was to sell to a dentist that would be willing to keep all the staff.

Q: What made you take the leap to follow your dream, and leave your career?

A: After hearing about my boss' retirement coming sooner than later, I began to think about what I really wanted for my future. I wasn't sure I wanted a different boss. I honestly was so blessed to have the best boss ever for 20 years! I decided I needed a plan B. Of course, plan A was what I went to college, got a degree for, and did for 25 years: dentistry. But I let myself think about what would I pick as a FUN job. A fashion boutique, I decided! How fun is that?!? I decided to start an online business first, and see how it went. I continued to do both, online boutique business, and dental hygiene with the new dentist. Needless to say, my new boss was not all I had hoped for. I then decided! If I don't like my new boss, become YOUR OWN BOSS! So that is when I decided to jump in with both feet and open a brick & mortar boutique.

Q: What would you like to do in the future with Hope & Grace?

A: My goal from day 1 was to bless women. Every day I pray that God sends ladies in my store, and He will use me to bless them. Some days it's just by a word or conversation we may have. Some days it's by selling them an outfit that gives them a sense of self confidence that they didn't have when they walked through the door. My future goal is that I can continue to do the same thing and never forget why I do what I do.

Q: If you can go back now, knowing everything you went through to follow your dream and passion, would you do it all over again?

A: If I could go back, I would do it again in a heartbeat! I would just take the leap of faith sooner.

Q: What advice can you give to other women, who are wanting to take that leap and follow their own dreams?

A: My advice to other women would be to have an amazing support group. Surround yourself with people who love you completely and unconditionally. Don't be afraid to fall! Just be sure to fall forward! Remember your support group will be there. It's better to have tried, than to always wonder "what if.”

Q: Lastly, what is a must have accessory that can be used in any outfit, but will not hurt the pocket?

A: A must have accessory is jewelry! You can have a put together look in seconds just by adding a few pieces of jewelry!

Thanks so much Kim! We love Hope & Grace Boutique and we think you will, too! Make sure to check it out.

With Love,
Rise. Run. Soar.
